In 2018, Jaeger-LeCoultre joined hands with Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) for eight consecutive years to pay tribute to the creation of time and movie arts. In conjunction with the brand’s 185th anniversary, Jaeger-LeCoultre showcased the history of the brand’s workshop in an exhibition held in Shanghai. Watchmakers were at scene to demonstrate the assembling of movement. The brand also held an auction in a charity gala to support restoring classic movies.
In the gala, Ms Catherine Renier, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, co-presented “Glory to the Filmmaker Award” with Ms Fu Wenxia, General Manager of Shanghai International Film Festival Company Limited, and renowned actor Ms Ni Ni to renowned filmmaker Ms Joan Chen. Stars gracing the event included Friend of the Brand Boran Jing and his girlfriend Ni Ni, Kenji Wu, Ming Dao, and Mark Chao, who all worn Jaeger-LeCoultre to the charity gala.
